These rules are intended for the safety of all patrons.  Patrons are responsible for reading and obeying all rules.  Failure to follow the rules can result in injury or expulsion from the pool.  Staff has the discretion to enforce additional rules as necessary.

•Certified lifeguards will be on duty at all times to ensure the safety of patrons. Patrons must obey lifeguards at all times.  Patrons who do not comply with the rules will be asked to leave.
•Patrons must wear properly lined swimming attire. Street clothes, cut-offs, and athletic clothing are not allowed as swim wear. Swimwear with buttons, snap, rivets or zippers are not allowed.
•Patrons who enter the Aquatic Complex must pay the admission fee.
•Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult 16 years of age or older.
•A ratio of one swimming adult for every five children must be met for all groups with children ages 2-4 years. Otherwise, a ratio of one swimming adult for every eight children must be met for groups with children ages 5-12 years.
•Tobacco products and E-Cigarettes are not allowed.
•Any patron suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave.
•Running, rough play or profanity is not allowed.
•No food, glass containers or coolers may be brought into the complex. Food purchases from Concession Stand must be kept in concession area.
•Hanging on lane ropes is not allowed.
•Swimmers with infections conditions, contagious diseases or open wounds will not be allowed admission.
•In the event of threatening weather or cool air temperatures, the pool will be closed until management determines it is safe to reopen the pool.
•The City of Washington is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Secure items in lockers.
•Manufacturer suggested guidelines and rules (suggested height, weight, age limits, user capacity, etc.) would be enforced for all equipment.
•Chewing gum is not allowed.
•Chairs are not allowed in the water except in the tanning shelf area.
•Swim diapers are required for all children not completely toilet trained. Purchase swim diapers at the Admission Office. Diaper changing is not allowed on the pool deck.  Diaper changing stations are located in restrooms.
•All personal life-preserving flotation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved.  Inflatable flotation devices such as water wings, or devices which are not U.S. Coast Guard approved are NOT permitted in the facility.  Rafts and larger inner tubs are not allowed.
•Safe water toys such as Nerf items and noodles are allowed. Toys deemed unsafe by staff or being used in a manner, which threatens the safety or enjoyment of others, are prohibited.
•Only radios utilizing headphones will be allowed.

DIVING BOARDS:
•Only one diver is allowed on the diving board at a time. Divers in line must wait on deck until the previous diver exits the diving area.
•Safe diving must be practiced. No sitting, running, cartwheels, handstands, inward dives or multiple bounces on the diving board. Diver must dive straight out from the board.
•Diver must demonstrate swimming ability and be able to swim unassisted.
•No floatation devices or assistance from anyone in the water is allowed when using the board.

WATER SLIDE AND CLIMBING WALL:
•Sliders must be 48” tall; maximum weight is 300 pounds.
•One patron is allowed on the slide and/or climbing wall at a time.
•Sliders must ride feet first while laying on their back with arms crossed.
•Sliders may not be caught in the catch pool (where the slide dumps into the water).
•Goggles, fins, watches, zippers, buckles, life jackets or floatation devices may not be worn while using the slide.
•Before a slider/climber may do down the slide/wall they must wait until the lifeguard signals that it is safe to do so.

Violation of any of these rules may result in the patron being asked to leave.  These rules are not all inclusive and may change at the manger’s discretion.  It is the responsibility of the patron to read and obey all posted rules to ensure safety.

DOGGIE DIP:
Dog and owner must pre-register by Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Date:  Tuesday, September 5, 2023
Time:  6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Fee:  $11.00 per dog/owner; $5.00 each additional dog/person
*Owners are responsible for doggie messes
**All dogs must be on a leash while on deck and every dog must have at least one handler
***Must bring proof of your dog’s rabies, bordetella, DHLPP and spray/neuter records to attend
