The United States Postal Service has informed the City of Washington that the monthly Utility Bills have been delayed. They will hopefully be delivered tomorrow, February 25, 2021.  Customers can go online to view their bill OR by calling (636) 390-1045 or (636) 390-1090 and a bill can be emailed upon request.  For questions, please contact (636) 390-1090.

Renters and owners are required to pay a $100.00 deposit at time of setting up service.  Commercial renters and owners are required a $200.00 deposit.  The deposit is refundable after two (2) years of on time payments, if requested, or when the renter/owner moves to another location the deposit can be transferred.

The average monthly bill for a family of three (3) is $55.00.  A minimum bill for a new resident is $48.75 and breaks down as follows:
•Water – $7.00
•Sewer – $27.60
•Refuse – $14.15 ($8.50 if Senior Citizen age 62 or older)

Payments Can Be Taken To:

•Drop box located at 410 Lafayette Street, in front of the Library

Other Methods of Payment Are:
•Automatic bank drafting
•Automatic credit card drafting
•Online bill pay via your bank
•Online with a credit card, $1.25 processing fee is charged; to view your account and pay on line click here.  This will require your eleven (11) digit account number and last payment amount.

Delinquent bill paying must be in person if the service has been disconnected.  This includes the on/off fees assessed against the account.

Delinquent Bills:
A bill is considered delinquent after twenty (20) days from the date of billing. A delinquent bill shall be subject to a penalty of ten percent (10%) applied to the delinquent balance in addition to interest at the rate of one and one-half percent (1½%) per month on the delinquent balance. If a bill for a wastewater charge is delinquent through no fault of the wastewater user, the additional one and one-half percent (1½%) per month charge may be waived upon submittal of satisfactory evidence. For any bill not paid within fifteen (15) days after the bill becomes delinquent, the customer’s service shall be disconnected until bill is paid.
