Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works actively with children in an office, school, home, or community-based setting, sometimes for a period of several hours at a time. This requires energy, enthusiasm, and physical capabilities to engage the child in tasks and play activities. For example, he or she may need to participate in physical recreational activities with the child. He or she may also need to conduct physical intervention procedures with the child, such as escort or restraint procedures in the event safety concerns arise.  This position reports directly to the Clinical Director.

Duties:
•Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients
•Precisely follow procedures and instructions, both written and spoken
•Understand and implement each client’s individual plan
•Correctly use ABA processes and strategies, such as prompting/fading, reinforcement, preference assessment, shaping, and chaining
•Follow data collection procedures with accuracy
•Provide feedback and insight to client’s lead therapist regarding client’s needs and changes in behavior based on what is seen while providing direct services
•Maintain the highest standard of ethics, including confidentiality
•Maintain RBT certification, including keeping a log of supervision hours and notifying Human Resources if any changes in status occur
•Protect the health and safety of clients and fellow employees by reporting all Critical Incidents and potential risks, and following all health and safety procedures
•Follow all company policies as laid out in the Employee Handbook and other policy documentation
•Complete additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director

Requirements:
•High school diploma or GED
•Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
•May be required to have certification in CPR and restraint procedures
•Basic understanding of technology with a willingness to learn more
•Flexibility with scheduling
•Maintain highest standards of professionalism

Physical demands:
•Under normal circumstances the employee will need to have the physical capacity to continuously use his/her hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation •The employee may be required to do the following:
⇒Physically able to respond quickly from any position, walk quickly or jog short distances, stand on feet for a minimum of 15 minutes
⇒Lift and carry 25-100 lbs.
⇒Push / Pull up to 150 lbs.
⇒Squat / Kneel / Stoop
⇒Bend
⇒Twist upper, and lower back
