LPN – Cardiac Telemetry – PRN

Department: LPN- Cardiac Telemetry
Status: PRN
Shift: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekend, Holidays
*Must have 1 year of recent bedside experience!

Incentives:
•Shift Differentials
•Incentive Shifts available after the first 12 hours worked each pay period

Requirements:
•Must work 1 weekend shift per 6 week scheduling
•Must work 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday

Overview:
We are a high paced 35-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit. Our patients range from STEMI’s, post Cardiac Catheterization care, CHF, Arrhythmia and Blood pressure Management, Cardiac Catheterization, and Stroke management.  Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 with Patient Care Associates on staff to assist as well.  We strive to create an environment where clear communication, accountability, mutual respect and most importantly teamwork are utilized to provide our patient’s exceptional care.

Qualifications:
•Education: 
High school diploma or GED equivalent
•Licensure:  Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
•Physical Requirements/Demands:  Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
•Experience:  Must have 1+ year LPN experience
•Certifications: 
⇒Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
⇒LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire (range from upon hire to within 1 year)

NOTE:  one or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
•ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
•PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
•Other unit specific certifications as required

•Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
•Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
•Certifications:
⇒CLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
⇒BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
⇒Other unit specific certifications as required or or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe

RN – Med/Surg – Adults/Peds – PRN

Department: RN – Med/Surg – Adult/Peds
Status: PRN
Shift: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
Required: 1 Major Holiday & 1 Minor Holiday

Overview:
We are a high-energy, fast-paced 30 bed Medical/Surgical/Adult & Pediatric unit that cares for medical and post-operative patients. These patients are primarily adults 18 years and older. However, we also care for approximately 1-2 pediatric patients per month. Our patient population consists of but not limited to post-op knees, hips, shoulders, colon resections, bariatric surgery, sepsis, pancreatitis, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and stable pneumothorax. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 with the assistance of Patient Care Associates. We have an exceptional unit highlighted by coworkers with knowledge, dedication, teamwork, empathy, and compassion.
