A traffic crash was reported in the area of 47 and Steutermann.
A traffic crash was reported in the area of 14th and 47.
A female subject was arrested on outstanding warrants during a traffic stop in the area of 5th and Market.
Officers responded to a peace disturbance in the 900 block of E 5th.

From 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25 through 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, Highway 100 from Washington Crossing to South Point Road will have one eastbound and westbound lane closed.

Reference: Washington Riverfront-River Rescue
On Monday April 22, 2024, at 3:02 PM the Washington Police Department, Washington Fire Department and Washington Ambulance District responded to the Washington River Front and the Missouri River Bridge for a subject who jumped from the bridge.
When the first officer arrived at the Missouri River Bridge, he could see a subject in the water.
The Washington Fire Department launched a boat with Washington Firefighters and Washington Ambulance personnel on-board. The subject was recovered downstream from the bridge. The Firefighters and Ambulance personnel began lifesaving measures while enroute back to the Washington Boat Ramp and continued life saving measures as the subject was transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington.
The Emergency Room Staff continued those life saving measures. Unfortunately, the subject did not survive his injuries.
The subject was a 21-year-old male from Washington.

Reference: Death Investigation
On Sunday April 21, 2024, at 1:23 PM a subject came into our department to report he found a deceased person on the West side of the Washington Riverfront Trail near the loop turnaround.
Officers responded to the location and found a male subject deceased. Also located at the scene was a backpack, bicycle and a handgun.
The death is being investigated as a self-inflicted gunshot.
Detectives from our department were contacted and responded to the scene to investigate.
The victim is a 58-year-old male from Washington.
The incident is being investigated as a suicide. The family members of the deceased have been notified.
No further information will be released at this time.

Third Street Overlay and Improvements Project, STP-6401(602) ~ Construction Detour
Portions of Third Street will be closed during construction for the safety of the construction workers and the general public. The Phase 1 Closure with detours currently in effect is indicated below in orange and extends along Third Street from Jefferson Street to Locust Street.
