Day Shift Summary 07/08/2024 Dog was located in the 800 block of East 5th Street. Owner came and picked the dog up. Alarm on Bedford Center Drive. Accidental. Assisted WFD in the 1400 block of High Street. Contacted a male subject walking in the 300 block of West 5th Street. Subject was found to be having a mental crisis and was transported for evaluation. Assisted EMS on Lange Drive. Hazards removed from the roadway on Highway 100 at Washington Crossing. Non-injury traffic crash on Highway 100 near High Street.

The Agnes Nolting Aquatic Center is CLOSED for the rest of the day - July 8. Swim lessons are STILL ON at there regularly scheduled time of 6:45 p.m.

Today in #ParksandRecMonth we are focusing on the inclusivity within our parks system. One of our most popular accomplishments was the installation of the All Abilities Playground located in Hillermann Park. The playground opened in 2012 and has been our most popular playground ever since. It is designed to allow any cognitive or physical ability be able to use and enjoy the playground. Giving everyone the opportunity to play and enjoy the park is just one of the ways Washington Parks and Recreation is #WhereYouBelong. #ParksandRecMonth 24

We grieve with our brothers & sisters from Union and Boone County for the loss of past Union Assistant Chief and present Boone County Assistant Chief Matt Tobben during a water rescue this morning. We pray for his family and will miss him. He was a friend and training partner with many WFD members and a skilled firefighter.

Assist EMS in the area of W. 10th Street. A male was arrested for stealing and a female was arrested on outstanding warrants during an investigation in the 1700 Block of A Roy Drive. A verbal peace disturbance report was taken in the 1200 Block of Karen Lane. Property damage report was taken on Elbert Drive. A missing person report was taken in the 300 Block of W. Front Street. A homeless activity in the 800 Block of E. 5th. Assisted EMS in the area of Southwinds Circle. ARRESTS DO NOT IMPLY GUILT.

Shift Summary Nights 7-6-2024 Assisted EMS in the area of Southwinds Circle. A male subject was arrested for assault on law enforcement officer in the 900 Block of E. 5th. A male subject was arrested for investigation of stealing and fraud in the area of Washington Corners. Peace Disturbance on Jade Lane Homeless activity in the 800 Block of E. 5th. Check the well-being in the 700 Block of Locust Street. ARRESTS DO NOT IMPLY GUILT.

A stealing was reported in the 600 block of Riverview Pl. Officers responded to the 1700 block of A Roy Dr. for a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation the driver was arrested for trespassing and driving under the influence of drugs. A informational report was taken at the police department. Assisted MSHP at the police department.

Shift Summary Nights 7-5-2024 A male subject was arrested for protective custody/assault on law enforcement officer in the 100 Block of W. Main. A fraud report was taken in the 500 Block of W. 9th. Assisted MSHP with a pursuit in the area of the Missouri River Bridge. A dog bite report was taken from the Fairgrounds area. A female was taken into protective custody in the area of Bernard/W. Main. Homeless activity in the 400 Block of Lafayette. Homeless activity in the 300 Block of W. Front. Numerous calls for fireworks violations and it was not the large display at the fairgrounds. ARRESTS DO NOT IMPLY GUILT.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of A Roy Dr. for a check the well being. Officers responded to the 100 block of Sir Williams for a verbal peace disturbance. A fraud was reported in the 400 block of Kayla Ct. A informational report was taken on Wenona Ct. Officers responded to the 400 block of E. 7th St. for an alarm sounding. A stealing was reported in the 800 block of Washington Corners.

Due to flooding, the West and East Riverfront Trail will be closed until further notice.

Day Shift Summary 07/04/2024 The barricades at the riverfront were moved several times due to rising water. Assisted EMS with a subject at the riverfront. Subject was left in their care. Debit card turned in that was located in the 900 block of East 8th Street. Owner was contacted and picked it up. !!! Happy Independence Day !!!

Day Shift Summary 07/03/2024 Non-injury traffic crash on Lafayette Street and West Main Street. Assisted a motorist on Highway 100 at High Street. Due to the lights being on flash for a short time on Highway 47 at Steutermann Road, Officers directed traffic. Alarm on Avantha Drive. They were working on the alarm system. Assisted WFD with a fire alarm in the 100 block of West Main Street.

Barricades are in place at the Riverfront. Please do not drive around or move them. River levels are rising quickly!
