📣 We are thrilled to share that the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit, Voices & Votes: Democracy in America, is coming to the Washington Public Library in the Winter of 2025! This incredible Museum on Main Street (MoMS) exhibition will be hosted in the following towns: 📍 Maryville (Nodaway Community Theater Company) 📍 Sikeston (DAEOC) 📍 Neosho (Crowder College, Social Science Division) 📍 Memphis (Northeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission) 📍 Grain Valley (Grain Valley Historical Society) 📍 Washington (Washington Public Library) Voices & Votes explores the foundational principles of American Democracy, tracing its roots from the country's beginnings and examining key questions that continue to shape our nation today: Who has the right to vote? What are the freedoms and responsibilities of citizens? Whose voices will be heard? This exhibit serves as a springboard for vital discussions about these issues, reflecting our local stories and experiences. This is made possible through a Grant by @MOHumanities. ➡️ Learn more about this exhibit at: mohumanities.org/traveling-exhibits
