Officers assisted Children's Division in the 2100 block of East 5th Street. Officers handled a call for possible drug activity in the 1900 block of Rabbit Trail Drive. Officer handled a report of careless driving in the area of Lion's Lake. An open door was checked in the 400 block of Grand Avenue. A suspicious vehicle was checked in the 1400 block of West 5th Street. A suspicious person was checked in the 200 block of West 2nd Street. A suspicious person was checked in the 1200 block of Veterans Drive. Officers responded to the 900 block of East 5th Street for a report of a domestic incident.

The lake remains closed due to the ongoing algal bloom. Following the recommendations from the Missouri Conservation Department (MDC), we are working to treat the lake by adding a blue dye. This helps reduce sunlight penetration, which can slow algal growth, especially with the anticipated heat next week. We appreciate your patience as we take these steps to protect the lake and ensure everyone's safety.
