❗NOTICE❗ Work will begin today on the Jefferson Street Improvement Project. This project includes replacement of curb and gutter, sidewalks, and asphalt pavement overlay from 5th Street to Highway 100. Work will begin near 5th Street and work south. The project will take many months and scheduled to finish in the summer of 2025. We appreciate your patience and ask that you use caution and reduced speed in this area, watch out for workers, and use alternate routes if possible. Stay tuned for more updates on the progress and road closures.

Harassment was reported in the area of Eckelkamp Ct.
A female was arrested in the area of Hwy 47 and Hwy 100 for possession of a controlled substance.
Check the well being in the area of 5th St. and High St.

Crews will be coming around November 4 and December 2 to pick up your leaves. Please rake excess leaves to the curb but leave them in your yard. Leaves in the street and in gutters are both unsafe for motorists and a detriment for stormwater control.

To help with efficiency of waste collection, Windy Hills Subdivision and properties along West Fifth Street near Highway 100, waste and recycling collection will change from Friday to Thursday. This will be a permanent change starting Thursday, October 31. The contractor will continue for two weeks to check on Fridays after the start of this change. After that, waste will only be collected on Thursdays if placed at the curb on time. Addresses affected include those located on the following streets: Windy Ridge Drive Windy Hills Drive West Fifth Street addresses 1559 - 1701 West Fifth Villas The attached map indicating the location of the change.

Assisted WAAD with an involuntary commitment order.
A domestic was reported in the area of Southwinds.

‼ NOTICE ‼ The City's first round of curbside leaf vacuum pickup will begin on Monday, November 4th. Street crews will begin on the east side of town and proceed west until complete. Our next and last pickup will begin on December 2 and follow the same path.
