Non-injury traffic crash on Lafayette Street and West Main Street.
Assisted a motorist on Highway 100 at High Street.
Due to the lights being on flash for a short time on Highway 47 at Steutermann Road, Officers directed traffic.
Alarm on Avantha Drive. They were working on the alarm system.
Assisted WFD with a fire alarm in the 100 block of West Main Street.

Day shift 07/02/24
Officers responded to the 500 block of W. 9th for a report of a suspicious person.
A subject came into the lobby to report a fraud.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of A Roy Dr. for an alarm sounding
A stealing was reported in the 300 block of Lakeview Dr.
A motor vehicle accident was investigated on Marbach Dr.
A private property motor vehicle accident occurred in the 1700 block of A Roy Dr.
A subject was arrested during a traffic stop for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver license.
A motor vehicle accident was reported in the 200 block of W. Main St. a subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a license.
A stealing was reported in the 1400 block of W. 5th St.
All subjects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.

It's not every day that we get to have a 104 year-old WWII Veteran visit us! We were honored to stop by Ott Jasper's Birthday Party yesterday, and to have him visit us at the fire station today. MSHP Driver Examinations will be held in the basement of the Police Department every Friday during the months of July and August due to fair preparations.
Friday, July 5: Driver Examinations will be CLOSED in observance of Independence Day.
MSHP Driver Examinations will be at Police Department beginning Friday, July 12.


City Offices, Landfill and Recycling Center will be closed, on Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.

Night Shift Summary 6/30/2024
A homeless subject was reportedly yelling at cars in the area of Bieker Road and Eckelkamp Court, he was located and moved along.
A domestic assault was reported in the area of Buckingham Drive and Berkshire Drive.
An assault was reported in the area of HWY 47 and Steutermann Road.
A shooting occurred in the 1500 block of E 8th Street.

Day Shift Summary 06/30/2024
Dog was located on Shawn Court.
Wallet was turned in that was left in a cart at Schnucks. Owner was contacted and wallet was returned.
Non-injury vehicle crash on Highway 100 at A. Roy Drive.
Two dogs were reported running at large on Fair Street. Owner was contacted and picked up the dogs.
Subject was contacted on A. Roy Drive after a peace disturbance was reported. Subject had an outstanding warrant and was arrested.

This good pup was found this morning on Shawn Court. If you know the owner please contact the Washington Police Department at 636-390-1050.

Night Shift Summary
Officers assisted WAAD with a subject in the area of HWY 47 and Bieker Road.
A subject was issued a citation in the 300 block of Stafford Street for discharging fireworks within city limits.

Day Shift Summary 06/29/2024
Homeless activity on the North side of the bridge. Passerby stated a subject was passed out near the walking trail. Made contact with a homeless subject who was just sleeping.
Assisted WFD with an alarm in the 900 block of East 5th Street.
Assisted a motorist in the 6000 block of Highway 100.
Assisted EMS in the 300 block of East 3rd Street. Subject was transported by EMS.
Removed a hazard from the roadway on Grand Avenue.
Fraud reported in the 900 block of Bieker Road. A fake $100 bill was seized.
Assisted WFD with a transformer on fire on Penn Street.
Peace disturbance in the 1000 block of East 5th Street. Male and female were having a dispute. They were separated.

While the heat advisory is just to our south, we can still expect the heat index to be around 100 this afternoon. Please stay hydrated and keep cool.

A motor vehicle crash occurred in the are of High St. and Hwy 100.
Assisted EMS with a sick case in the area of Elbert Dr.
A peace disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Wilson St.
Found property was located in the 1900 block of Hwy A.
A peace disturbance was reported in the 300 block of Locust St.
Suspicious activity was reported in the area of E. 7th St and Sunnyside.
A burglary was reported in the 300 block of E. 5th St.

Stealing of a license plate reported on Palomino Court.
Peace disturbance reported in the 700 block of Freemont Street. Subject who was causing the issue left the area.
Leaving the scene reported on Highway 100 at Rabbit Trail Drive. Vehicle that left the scene was a white passenger car.
Subject was stopped in the area of Highway 100 and International Avenue for a vehicle license violation. Subject was found to have a revoked driving privilege and was arrested.
Homeless activity in Washington Crossing. Subject was issued a trespass warning for the property per management.
