Shift Summary Days 05/02/24 Vehicle crash report in the area of Highway 100 and Vossbrink Drive Vehicle crash report in the 1800 Block of Highway A. A larceny report in the 5800 Block of Highway 100. A vehicle crash report in the 800 Block of W. Main. A stolen vehicle report was taken in the 300 Block of Fair Street. A vehicle crash report in the area of Highway 47 and 1st Street. Found Property in the area of Highway 100/Clay. An informational report was taken in the 4200 Block of Highway 47. Report of kids near the water at the riverfront. They were being kids and skipping rocks.

For the month of May, join the City of Washington in supporting Franklin County United Way by donating Peanut Butter and Jelly to distribute to children in need for summer meals. Donations can be dropped off to the 3rd Floor of City Hall. Donations are also accepted at the Library.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 15 at the flag pole between our headquarters building and city hall as we honor officers who have sacrificed their lives in the performance of their duties. The ceremony will start at 9 a.m. and should last roughly 45 minutes to an hour.

Thanks for coming out to the Missouri Weird and Wonderful on Tuesday night. We challenged the artist (Dan Zettwoch) to draw a Scottish man with a corn cob pipe, herding a sheep that was blowing bagpipes. And he did it!

Shift Summary Days 05/01/24 A report was pulled in reference to fraud in the area of Vernaci Drive. A peace disturbance was reported in the area of 100 and 47. Property damage was reported in the area of Blue Jay Drive. Found property was reported in the area of West Pride Drive. A report was pulled in reference to a derelict/towed vehicle in the 1200 block of E 6th. Numerous other suspicious person checks and calls for service.

*HIGHWAY 100 WORK ZONE TO CONTINUE THRU WEDNESDAY, MAY 8 From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Highway 100 from Washington Crossing to South Point Road will have one eastbound and westbound lane closed.

*WORK ZONE - THURSDAY, MAY 2* From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Highway 100 at St. John's Creek Bridge, will be one lane. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone.

Shift Summary - Days 4/30/24 Assist other agency in the 400 block of Cedar St. Homeless activity in the 300 block of Jefferson St. Check the well being in the 1200 block of Stafford St. Found property was turned in at Police HQ and returned to the owner. Homeless activity in the area of Krog Park. A crisis intervention report was completed in the 1800 block of High St. Fraud was reported in the 600 block of W. 5th St. Check the well being in the 900 block of Glenn Ave. A male was arrested for driving while suspended and fugitive warrants in the 800 block of Franklin Ave. ARRESTS DO NOT IMPLY GUILT

Due to manpower, truck shortages, combined with Big Trash Week, Waste Connections will not be finishing the routes from last night and will not finish Tuesday routes tonight. The areas listed below on Tuesdays route will be the first priority tomorrow morning. Autom Leaf Subdivision, off Marquart Dawn Vally area, off Streutermann Lewis and Clarke, Expedition, off Hwy A Monty View and Martina Dumpsters in Southwinds Apartments

Night Shift Summary 04/29/2024 Non-injury private property crash on Bieker Road. Alarm on Heritage Hills Drive. Accidental. Checked the well being of a subject walking on Highway 47 near 14th Street. Subject was fine, just walking home . Peace disturbance reported in the 300 block of East Lane Drive. Subjects causing the disturbance left prior to our arrival. Peace Disturbance on Southwinds Circle. Subjects were asked to keep it down.

Shift Summary - Days 4/29/24 A motor vehicle crash occurred in the 100 block of Elbert Dr. Found property was located in the 1800 block of High St. A female was arrested on a fugitive warrant in the area of Charlottes Way. A motor vehicle crash occurred in the area of 2nd St. and Walnut St. Assault was reported in the area of Hwy 100 and Jefferson St. Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Hwy 47 and E. 5th St. Fraud was reported in the 2600 block of E. 5th St. A check the well being was conducted in the 1800 block of High St. A check the well being was conducted in the 1000 block of Jefferson St. A found driver's license and keys were turned in at Police HQ. The lower lot of the riverfront has been closed due to rising water.

The lower parking lot at the riverfront is now closed due to rising river levels. PLEASE do not drive around barricades.

We are currently in possession of a set of keys that was lost at the riverfront a few days ago. The keys appear to belong to an RV or trailer of some sort. If you are missing anything like that please contact Sgt. Grissom at 636-390-1050.

Rivers are on the rise! There are numerous river flood warnings in effect. Once again, please do not approach and stay away from the rising waters!

**CAUTION** With all the rain the area has received over the weekend, creeks and rivers are rising fast. Please stay away from rising waterways. Please keep your distance!!
