Night Shift 01/10/2025
Subject came into the Police Department and reported a phishing scam. Subject did not provide any personal information to the scammers.
Subject was contacted on Eckelkamp Court in reference to a check the well-being. Subject was highly intoxicated, and it was found they had an active warrant. Subject was arrested.
Assisted WFD with a fire on Phoenix Center Drive.

Washington Public Library is open today, Friday, January 10.

Assisted DFS with a follow up investigation
Structure fire reported in the 200 Block of High Street. Everyone was evacuated and safe.

A delayed stealing was reported in the 1700 block of Aroy Drive
A peace disturbance was reported in the 200 block of East 5th Street. A subject was subsequently taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
A peace disturbance was reported in the 400 block of Lafayette. 2 Subjects were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
A vehicle accident was reported in the 5800 block of Highway 100
A vehicle accident was reported in the area of Highway 100 and Vossbrink
A report was made in reference to a subject having a mental health crisis on Elbert Drive. The subject was provided with the appropriate services.

A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect for our area starting tomorrow evening at 6:00PM and lasting until Friday at 6:00PM with another round of snow late Thursday into Friday, impacting the morning commute. While most will see snow, the highest totals will be in southeast Missouri .

Hard to believe! Some are still digging out from the winter storm that affected our area over the weekend. We have another possible round of snow Thursday night and going into Friday morning. The highest accumulations are predicted to be in southern Missouri, but we could still see some minor accumulations on top of what is already on the ground.

Suspect from a property damage report taken on 12/06/2024 was located. Subject was arrested.
Leaving the scene reported in the 300 block of West Front Street. Occurred sometime between Saturday and Monday.
Disturbance reported in the 900 block of East 5th Street. Subject causing the disturbance was calmed down.
Injured deer was dispatched on Highway 100 near Pottery Road.

What is an illicit discharge? Anything other than stormwater that is disposed of into a storm sewer system, and it is illegal! Some examples are paint, oil, cooking grease, laundry detergent, pesticides, fertilizers, pet waste, and yard waste.
