RECYCLING
As a service to residents, the city offers organic yard waste drop off at the Recycling/Compost Center. Acceptable items include: Paper: Office paper, junk mail, magazines, newspaper (glossy inserts okay), paper egg cartons; Corrugated Cardboard, Consumer Box “Chipboard”: cereal/soda boxes; Plastic Bottles & Containers: #1 – #7 on the bottom and caps may be left on; Glass: bottle and jar glass only; Metal Food & Beverage Containers: steel and aluminum; Food & Beverage Cartons: milk and juice. Please note that all containers must be clean/dry and free from food and liquids.
COMPOST
Tree trimmings are no more than Six feet in length. Leaves can be in biodegradable bags or emptied from your container. No stumps or bushes with intact root balls will be accepted. See below for Commercial Haulers information. As conditions warrant, two (2) loads of compost are available for residents living in the 63090 area code.
